As a photographer, I knew the importance of photos, but didn’t realize how quickly time is fleeting until I had my own baby to hold in my arms. Documenting your family legacy is important. Being present is first priority, so

having pictures in the comfort of your home is convenient, special, and no stress! Besides, you worked so hard on the baby’s nursery! We love celebrating milestones with families: engagements, weddings, pregnancies, babies, and more. What’s better than getting ready and taking pictures in the comfort of your own home? You don’t even have to leave your house to have beautiful timeline pictures documenting your family in their element. I always recommend starting in the nursery since you worked so hard on your little one’s new space. But, I also like to encourage any other spaces in the home with natural light--lots of windows! Sometimes we meander into the master bedroom, end up on the couch, or push chairs back in the dining room! Wherever you feel most comfortable and the natural light fills space is best! I also offer my clients the option of booking a natural light studio located in Woodstock, GA.

I always say, “Start by looking in your closet.” Pick your favorite outfit or pieces, then shop! The more comfortable you are, the better your pictures are going to turn out. Neutrals are always best, but I also love bold prints, flannel, and gingham. I’ve had lots of families throw on jeans and a sweater, their favorite loungewear, or a dress with no shoes. It’s your home, your pictures, and I’m here to guide you, but also want you to feel comfortable in what you choose to wear. As for the baby, don’t dress them till I arrive. Accidents happen! Start by picking our one swaddle and two outfits. Luckily, I can swaddle like it was an Olympic sport and will handle that for you if you want. If your little one gets fussy, no worries! You can always take a feeding break to make sure they get comfortable. I also recommend feeding them right before I arrive so they are milk drunk and cuddly!
